5th Annual DooWop Car Show & Street Festival
Sunday, August 8, noon-5pm
EPA, Dickinson to McKean

Over 100 antique, classic, show and custom cars, trucks & motor cycles will line East Passyunk Ave from Tasker to McKean + we’ll have a Street Festival with live music by Chad & Willie, 2 DJs, vendors, and the Bang! Boom! CRAFT! show at the Fountain! EPA’s award-winning restaurants will feature special street food and summertime beverages for the day. $15 fee for participating cars, FREE for attendees. Visit the new pocket park at the Gateway to East Passyunk Avenue at Passyunk, McKean and Broad, to see the latest Mural Arts project “River to River!” EPX, along with several governmental agencies, and the EPA BID severed as sponsors and donors for this beautiful tile and glass mural that adorns the low-wall at the north end of the new gateway pocket park.  Artists Mike Smash, Jonny Buss and Colleen Kane took inspiration from Native American chevron patterns in the pavement of the gateway’s street-scape. EPX was largely responsible for the suggestion of the color scheme and the securing of TruMark Credit Union’s commitment to having the mural on their property. Arts alive and thriving in EPX!

EPX takes the summer off from our regular schedule of meetings, for the most part, and takes the opportunity to meet socially as neighbors!
