Last week the School District of Philadelphia approved a Spanish/English immersion program at Southwark Elementary on 9th and Mifflin! The program will start September 2014 in one kindergarten class and grow to subsequent grades each year. The deadline to register is May 30, 2014.
Two information sessions have been scheduled:
English Speaking Parents: Wednesday, May 14, 2014 – 5:30 – 6:30 PM
Spanish Speaking Parents: Thursday, May 15, 2014 – 5:30 – 6:30 PM

The March 2014 Education Committee Meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 19 at 7PM. The meeting will take place at the EPX Office (Room 207 of Neumann-Goretti High School).
Volunteers are needed to tutor Southwark Elementary students in reading and math, and to help in the library. If you are interested, please come to an information session and free breakfast at Southwark on Thursday morning, March 13th at 10:00.
