The December General Meeting will be Monday December 4, 2006 at 7pm in the St. Agnes Continuing Care Center.
In addition to reviewing November activities we’ll be happy to welcome Debra McCarty, deputy director of the Philadelphia Water Department, to the meeting. She’ll be talking about what PWD is doing to address the flooding issues in our neighborhood and will be available for questions. Continue reading

Having issues with the water-table flooding in our area? Here is the perfect opportunity to learn what the Philadelphia Water Department is doing to address these issues. The EPX December General Membership meeting will have a presentation by deputy director Debra McCarty of the PWD as the Order of the Day. In addition to the presentation and distribution of materials, Ms. McCarty will field a brief Q & A. Plan to be there and stay dry.

NOTICE: We’ve established a regular schedule for Clean & Green committee meetings. We’ll meet the third Monday of the month.
Thanks to all who attended the McKean Street Clean-up. The event went VERY WELL — 40 people attended and we picked up 30 bags of trash!
The next C/G Committee meeting will be Monday, Nov. 20, 6:30 pm, at Tolentine, 11th & Mifflin.
Our agenda will include:
1) De-brief on McKean St Clean-up
2) Plan December Clean-up — proposed for Saturday, Dec. 2, 10:30 am — 10th Street – Tasker to Snyder.
3) Water/Sewage Back-up
4) Community-wide Plastic Recycling
5) Budget — think about what we’ll need in 2007 for clean-ups, other beautification efforts
Special Presentation on Neighborhood Greening — Members of Passyuynk Square Civic Association have been invited to inform us how they got started, what they’ve accomplished to date, what they’ve learned, and most importantly, how we can work together to green our EPX neighborhood.
