Visit homes, churches and gardens throughout the East Passyunk Avenue Crossing neighborhood from Broad to 8th, Tasker to Snyder, DETAILS TO FOLLOW, but for now…

EPX takes August off from our regular meeting schedule and instead invites everyone to meet socially as neighbors!

Please join the Board and all members of EPX Monday, August 23rd from 7-9 for our third and last “Meet & Greet” of Summer 2010!

Take this chance to leisurely chat with EPX Committee Chairs and help guide their agendas for the fall! Volunteer for committees or specific projects or simply voice your concerns/congrats to EPX officers.

So let’s gather at FUEL 1917 E. Passyunk Avenue for lite hors d’oeuvres, that are both healthy and delicious! Plus wine and beer complements of the EPX board.

SPOAC The South Philadelphia Older Adult Center located at E. Passyunk Avenue & Dickinson St, will be distributing $20 Food Vouchers for the Farmers’ Market to eligible seniors on Tuesday, July 13th, from 9:30-11:30am. Please help spread the word to your eligible neighbors, they will go fast! Recipients must provide proof of residency in Philadelphia County and proof of age. One per person, must be present and 60 years of age by Dec 31, 2010.

EPX is proud to co-sponsor the S. Broad St. Branch of the Philadelphia Free Library’s Summer Reading Program’s Kick-Off FACE PAINTING Party!  Bring your children to the library on Wednesday June 23rd for free face painting at 12 noon followed by a magic show at 2:00 p.m! The South Broad Street Branch located at 1700 S. Broad St (Broad and Morris Streets) has recently re-established their Friends of the Free Library chapter and EPX has been a partner with them from the start. Please consider becoming a Friend of the Free Library, and know that EPX is excited to be co-sponsoring this Summer Reading event with this energized new group.

EPX takes the summer off from our regular schedule of meetings, for the most part, and takes the opportunity to meet socially as neighbors!
