Upcoming Elections for EPX Board

The EPX Civic Association plays a crucial role in our community, organizing engaging events, fundraising initiatives, and keeping neighbors informed about the latest happenings in the neighborhood. Additionally, the board takes charge of inviting guest speakers for membership meetings, spearheading clean-up drives and tree planting initiatives, and overseeing zoning meetings to ensure that residents can actively participate in discussions related to neighborhood zoning variances.

To be eligible for candidacy or voting, members must have attended at least three meetings this year, fostering an engaged and involved community. If you are eligible, look out for an email from Ellen Kita, which will provide you with the opportunity to nominate up to 15 eligible candidates for the board. All nominated individuals will be requested to accept or decline their nomination, ensuring a committed and willing board.

If 11, 13, or 15 people accept their nominations, they will automatically secure their positions on the board. However, if there are an even number of candidates, or if the number of candidates exceeds 15 individuals, a voting process will take place during the December meeting. The results of the election will be communicated via email in December, ensuring transparency and inclusivity in the decision-making process. Let’s ensure our community’s voice is heard by actively participating in this year’s EPX Civic Association elections.
