The last days of 2008 are upon us and 2009 shines brightly, right over the horizon! This new year brings with it two little gifts for EPX! Well, really one benefits all Philadelphia, as single-stream recycling begins for all neighborhoods on Monday January 5th. So please use your blue buckets every week on your regular trash day!
The other gift is a way to help others without any real cost to ourselves! In this economy, EPX has been humbled by the incredible generosity of our members, during the holidays, donating cash and in kind items for the less fortunate. So we are asking for that gracious spirit again in the New Year as we hold our annual Used Coat Drive. We all have a coat or two that is too big or small, not the right color, or which has been replaced by a newer one we like better! Take the coats you just never wear anymore and bring them to the EPX General Membership meeting on January 5th. Or bring them to any standing committee meeting in January at the EPX offices 1940 S. 13th street. The Board of Directors will see that they make it to the City’s coat bank. The needy will feel warmer on the outside and you’ll feel warmer on the inside! A happy, healthy and prosperous New Year to all!
