EPX Neighborhood Nite @ Cantina Los Caballitos

Our friends at the Cantina Los Caballitos, 1651 E. Passyunk Ave, have invited us to a very special evening. On Tuesday November 9th from 6-8 p.m. Steven Simons, the owner of the Cantina, has graciously offered to donate 10% of  all his proceeds to EPX for our annual Charitable Giving campaign.

EPX has, from our inception, donated a large potion of our income to neighbors in need during the Holiday Season. EPX has filled St. John’s Baptist church’s food bank (13th & Tasker), provided dozens of Thanksgiving dinners for members of the Philadelphia Access Center (PAC 11th & Mifflin) worked with Philadelphia Corporation for the Aging to provide produce baskets to the elderly and at Christmas time has identified three families (one from each Catholic parish in our boundaries)  providing them with gifts and gift cards for everything from supermarkets to toy stores to box stores to pharmacies.

Through the generous donations of our members, our semi-annual fund-raisers and special events, like this Neighborhood Nite, EPX has striven to comply with the charitable component of our 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, non-profit status.

So even though times are tough, in this economy, come join your friends and neighbors and have a margarita or two, some wonderful nachos etc, etc, and while enjoying yourselves realize that you are also helping the needy in our EPX community.
