EPX is happy to announce that our Beautification Committee has received a $2500.00 matching grant from PARC. The money will be used on “Cleaning and Greening” our neighborhood!
Also on THURSDAY, JUNE 23rd AT 8:00PM PARC will be rededicating the “Singing Fountain” at EAST PASSYUNK AVENUE & TASKER STREET.
PARC has invested more than $60,000 in the restoration of the fountain and improvements to the square. With the removal of the fencing and the addition of park benches and chess table, the fountain is reborn as a public gathering space and neighborhood amenity. The fountain will also be illuminated by state of the art LED lighting technology that will greatly enhance the square. The fountain itself has been fully restored with new tiles and marble.
The fountain restoration demonstrates PARC’s commitment to improving the community and providing needed investments that enhance the quality of life for the residents of the neighborhoods surrounding East Passyunk Avenue. By supporting and investing in the East Passyunk commercial corridor, businesses can flourish and grow helping to ensure that the avenue will remain a destination for neighborhood residents and visitors alike.
A “block†party will take place after the re-dedication ceremony with food and beverages provided by Izumi and Paradiso restaurants.
